The realtors must have an office and a license
The Minister for Customs Affairs and Trade, Bülent Tüfenkci, introduced a project to regulate the activities of real estate agencies.
The goal is to increase the reputation of the real estate sector
Changes in the rules of the realtors will touch many points: the cost of services, the availability of a license, physical conditions and basic principles of work.
Each real estate agency will be required to obtain a certificate of authority from the management of trade to continue its activities. For each service (sale, lease) will be issued a separate certificate valid for 5 years. The municipality will have to check the availability of a certificate when issuing a work permit and a permit to provide services. A certificate of authority can not be issued to persons who have not reached the age of 18, persons who are not taxpayers, participants in such crimes as forgery and bribery.
The office of the real estate agency must be an independent unit, occupy an area of at least 30 m2, have all the technical equipment necessary for work, a place for the archive and a private or rented car for displaying real estate. For each sale or lease of real estate, the agency is obliged to conclude the contract in two copies.
Real estate agencies, already working on the market, are required to comply with all conditions and obtain a certificate of authority within 18 months from the date of entry into force of changes in the rules.
